What year is it?!

Since I'm in the topic of senior citizens, a funny thing happened to me yesterday.

I was transferring my money and cards to my other wallet when I saw my driver's license. I was staring at my picture and telling myself that I looked cross-eyed (I'm not kidding!). So as I was staring at it, I decided to check the expiry. It says June * 2008. I made a sigh of relief, told myself that it's expiring next year and proceeded with arranging my cards.

Then it hit me, *toink!!!*, it's September 17, 2008! Sheesh! Is this really the effect of old age? LOL. Nagulat pa talaga ako! I mean, I can understand if I can't remember the date today but forgetting what year it is, is a different story. Could this be early signs of Alzheimer's or Dementia? Waa! Hopefully not!

So this means, I've been driving for three months now with an expired license. Hahaha! I'm gonna have it renewed tomorrow and hopefully since I'll be driving to go to LTO, I won't get pulled over by the MMDA people. If this happens (knock on wood!), then this will be my second Friday the 13th-ish day. Just like what I said in my last week's post.

Wish me luck tomorrow! And hopefully, this time, I wouldn't be cross-eyed in the picture. Baka banlag naman bukas. Hahaha!

Hi Val! Hindi ka nag iisa..
This morning when I was writing on my work notebook (I write each day's date at the beginning of the day).. I saw that yesterday had 17 MAY 2008 scribbled.... Ummm, its September na. I had to wipe it out, kasi kakahiya if meron makakita sa notebook ko. Pero ganun din kasi meron erase (should've used liquid paper)... OH well, tumatanda na nga tayo. Hope you had ur license renewed... TGIF!
