The most important meal of the day

I was eating breakfast a couple of minutes ago. I had peanut butter on Monay bread. Soyal na sosyal diba? LOL! Seriously though, I love peanut butter especially the chunky one. I especially like this one that I bought which is "crispy". Yes, crispy and not chunky. I think it has like rice crispies or something. So anyway, I've missed eating peanut butter sandwiches and dipping them in my cup of coffee. Haha! It tastes good promise! :-)

This brings me back to the days when I was still young. I remember the first time I drank coffee. You got that right, I think I was only seven when I started drinking coffee. I was really not a milk drinker up until now when the scare of osteoporosis is upon me. I would rather drink Milo or Ovaltine rather than drink milk. Going back to my early caffeine days, I would always have a peanut butter sandwich then dip it in my coffee. Sometimes, it's not peanut butter because let's face it, eating peanut butter for a week would really make you feel blah after. So I turned to butter and sugar. I would spread butter on the hot pandesal and sprinkle sugar on it and of course I would dip it again in my coffee. Haha! What's with the dipping?! Another favorite of mine is hot pandesal with condensed milk. I know I said I'm not a milk person before but condensed milk is like sugar in milk's clothing. Yummy! Can you say d-i-a-b-e-t-e-s ?! I know it's super sweet but it's sooo good! I remember emptying the can with my fingers. Simut sarap talaga ang lata ng condensada! Haha! Now if I don't feel like eating peanut butter, butter & sugar or condensed milk, I would resort to eating pandesal and... drumroll please... Milo!!! This time, there's no dipping in the coffee. I've tried it once but it doesn't go down well. Milo and coffee ... BAD! LOL!

So what about you guys? What kind of breakfast (normal or weird) did you have when you were young?

For breakfast during dark, stormy days waiting for Walang Pasok to be declared, our helper would do Champorado with Tuyo (Plus condensed milk) Fond memories of Bagyo mornings. hehe.

And during sunny mornings.. well.. di ko maalala now :) I guess the normal stuff..All I remember now right before leaving the house my siblings and I had to drink our glass of milk and vitamins.. Or else, good luck mallate kami for school!

concrete girl: dipping bread in coffee tastes good. Mapa-Starbucks or 3-in-1 pa yan, ok saken! :-) Try the butter and sugar combo! The saltiness of the butter mixes well with the sugar. :-D

marie: waa!! gusto ko din tuloy ng champorado and tuyo! Sweet & salty--my favorite combo!

My parents gave up on me when it comes to drinking milk. Di ko talaga sya iinumin. LOL!

Marco: thanks for dropping by! Do visit again.. and again...and again :-D

pixie: naku oo pass ka na muna sa mga ganyang combo! Sa July ka na pwede ulit ;-)

abie: sarap abie pag dip mo sa coffee. Saw it from my lolo and lola before coz they have to "soften" the bread so as not to damage their dentures. hehe! ;-) masarap pala! hehehe!
